Pom Poms and Purses.

I've been training new staff at our store in Grand Rapids all week, which by the way is looking adorable! Many of you know that we are located right next to the new Anthropologie that also recently opened up... This also ='s 30 minute mini shopping trips on my lunch break:) Dangerous I know, but I'm in the process of buying a new house so I have to control my shopping urges... I did however, let myself buy one treat this week. I couldn't resist it. Here it is... An oversized beaded clutch. I fell in LOVE with the bright colors and the Pom Pom zipper pull.
Fun bags and clutches are a great way to bring color to your outfits this Spring as I've mentioned before. Have fun with color and be adventurous with it. Pair two unexpected bright colors together like orange and purple or coral and teal. Color is everywhere this Spring, embrace it;)

Confetti nails.

Just like many of you I'm addicted to Pinterest. You can find so many great fashion ideas, home decorating ideas, and one thing I've recently enjoyed checking out is nail polish ideas.
This color option was my recent find on Pinterest, I found all the colors I needed to pull the look together at ulta.

It's not a classic look, but fun for a little change when the solid color starts to bore you.

I started out with a butter nail polish in pink ribbon and topped it off with two coats of a sparkle polish from Nicole by OPI called rainbow in the s-kylie, part of the kardashian line (beware I did not buy it for that reason).

What colors are you all loving for your nails this Spring?

2nd Outfit With my Denim Top.

Okay, I know I shouldn't be letting you all know that YES I wore the same top twice in one week...but I figured, what's the big deal...I wanted to wear my cute denim top again...so I did:)
This time I changed up my outfit a bit and paired my top with my little fair isle skirt, and my Tretorn rain boots- which with the rain we've gotten today I was glad I wore them, plus the laces happened to match the skirt, which made me happy:)

All in all just another example of how you can mix and match different items in your closet.

Adding that "POP" of Color.

Accessories are such an easy way of bringing in a pop of color if you are one that likes to stick to simple neutrals in their wardrobe, or if your closet typically consists of nothing more than black and grey. Try pulling in a coral bag like I'm toting today, or add a chunky turquoise necklace to brighten up your look. To be honest I love wearing bright colors occasionally, but usually you'll find me in my typical ivory sweaters or solid tees, so I love pulling in most of my color by a scarf or fun accessory.
Having a bright bag is a must this season!  If your not ready to branch out and wear the popular tangerine color this season, try a mustard yellow instead.  It's a great neutral, and not as bright as some of the other options if color's not your thing.
I've paired my look with my fun Nicole leopard shoe, and also wore a silver necklace that is very special to me- it's one of my Grandmas rings melted together with one of my Grandpas rings, and in the middle there is a small little diamond from one of them...it will always be one of my favorites.

Jeans: Fidelity Ace Mid rise cuffed (jb and me)
Sanctuary Sweater (jb and me)
Tangerine bag (jb and me $48)
Necklace: From my Grandma and Grandpa <3
Shoes: Nicole Better in leopard (jb and me)
I guess it was a Jb and me day all around:)

My Denim Shirt.

Today I'm wearing denim with denim. I would normally say wearing denim on top with denim paired on the bottom isn't a good look, but let me tell you why this works with my outfit and how I've paired it together. The denim top is quite light in color where my pants on the other hand are a super dark ink blue wash. It's a solid wash too, with no distressing, which is a good thing since the top has that distressed worn look going on. So if your going to wear denim on top either pair it with a colored pant option this Spring or find a pair of really dark blue jeans in your closet to pair it with...just please do not try to match your denim on top and bottom, that is a fashion no no! It must contrast!

Mint.

I use this color to decorate at my house, and now I can't wait to add it to my wardrobe this Spring: The color is mint green.  I love how it's such a fresh pastel color, it just shouts Spring!  Here are a few items I found while searching online of some great, stylish items in mint:)

What's your favorite Spring color?
