Vintage Family Fashion.

One of my favorite things to do when I get to my Grandma and Grandpas house in Ohio is to pull out the old photo albums and look at all the pictures from when my grandma and grandpa were young and when my mom was a child and also pictures from her teenage years.
The vintage bikinis are more than adorable and the wild printed maxi dresses are so fun. I just wish my mom and Grandma would have saved more of their clothes. I'd be wearing most of them today if they had:) Enjoy my family pictures... They are all very special to me.

My mom and Grandma.  Nice swimsuit Mom:)

Twins for a day.

Thought I would share this funny picture with you all. A couple weeks ago while at work Laurie arrived and just stood there looking at me with a huge smirk on her face and started to laugh. I didn't know what the problem was until I realized she was laughing at me because I basically had on her same outfit from head to toe. Same shoes, cuffed skinny jeans, and a top that however wasn't exactly the same was almost identical. Needless to say people looked at us funny all day long and thought we had planned it.

A Subtle Ombre Look.

It was a stressful day...buying a house is stressful.  Fun, but stressful.  So I was so happy to have a cut and color appointment with Jordan my stylist from Salon Cheveux.  I wanted to do a little something different this time around so opted to try the ombre look that you are seeing on many of the celebs right now.  The girls at the salon suggested I not do the traditional ombre look (which is a little more drastic and two-toned- see Mylie Cyrus) and thought that a more subtle ombre look was the way for me to go...only grabbing sections of my hair and doing the same technique. This is me before after much teasing of the hair (so you don't get a line, and it radiates better) and after the final product!

Work in progress:)

Final product: Subtle Ombre:)

Wraps, Hats, and One Great Poodle Clock.

This warm weather is amazing! It's crazy that we can start wearing our Spring summer clothes just like that!
Today I pulled out one of my favorite items that I wore last Summer all the time! It's called the Angelrox wrap. This thing is amazing friends, you can wear it countless ways as a dress along with a skirt or a vest. Some of you are probably thinking it must be tricky to twist and wrap into all of these options, but it's really pretty easy. I love the fact that it can be worn so many different ways and it always looks like a different outfit. It makes the perfect travel piece too.

I got hot and turned it into a sleeveless dress:)

Abby's new dress from Jb and me Grand Rapids (nick and mo), I think it was only about $66, not bad for this adorable dress.

After work today I made my way down to FOUND to visit Abby. It's been a couple weeks since I had visited the store so I wanted to check out the new goodies she had in stock. These are a few of the things I found:

Woven Fedora $12 (FOUND)

An Audry hat- perfect for the beach while you soak up the rays:) or for a fun dramatic flare. $19 (FOUND)

A new handbag line called Jenna Kator... The cool thing about these bags is they are all designed in Michigan and they are a vegan leather.$82 (FOUND)
Love the messenger style..oh look it matches my boots:)

And then I found this poodle clock... I mean how adorable is this. Most of you know I'm dog obsessed so anything that has to do with them I love. It's just so vintage and cute. I hope to buy this for my new home...:)

Come to Jb and me, and I can show you all of the different ways to wear the wraps also stop by FOUND to check out all these cool things...just don't buy the clock, because I call it:)

Sunday Ulta Adventure.

I once again decided to go to Ulta Sunday afternoon for a little shopping. The number one reason I went is because they were having a one day sale on the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara...it's originally $19 and it was only $10 on Sunday. Luckily they still had some left by the time I made it into the store... whew. I also grabbed a few other things while I was there. YES to cucumber soothing/hypoallergenic facial towels for removing makeup at night, along with moisturizing the skin (I have used these before and really like how they make made my face feel). I also ended up purchasing Jergens natural glow foaming moisturizer (which gradually gives your skins a tan glow).

My reviews: Smashbox Full Exposure mascara ($19) I really like it so far. It has a nice big brush that catches all of your lashes in just a few strokes, but the best thing about it is I've had no flaking, which seems to always happen with mascaras I use. I would rate it 4.5/5.

YES to cucumber face towels ($6.99) these have a nice light cucumber scent to them which feels very fresh when your using them on your face. They seem to remove makeup quite well...even takes care of my dark black eyeliner without irritating my eyes while doing so. I'd give this product a 5/5!

Jergens Natural Glow Foaming Moisturizer for medium-tan skin ($8.99) I've only applied this product three times and I can already see results. I had I tiny bit of streaking on my hands where you could tell I washed the product off my had after applying... But it was so light that only I could tell since I was looking up close. I did also apply this to my face and it made my skin feel really soft after doing so. I would give this product a 4/5 and would recommend for someone who wants a little color but doesn't have the time to sit in the sun all day...it really does work!

Spring Pastels.

What another beautiful day in Holland! I enjoyed a day off, which consisted of shopping at Ulta and Menards (I just bought a house!), sat on a lounge chair in my backyard to soak up some rays, thru the frisbee about a hundred times to my pups to make them happy, oh yeah and went to chow hound to make them even happier. All in all a good day.
Sunday's are always a low key relaxing day for me so I try to dress for comfort as well. On top I'm wearing a baggy tee in a cream sickle orange (love this color) from billabong, on bottom a pair of AG legging jeans, and I'm carrying my new favorite striped clutch which also has that fun orange color in it that I'm loving! Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday as well!!!

Orange loafers

These little dolce vita loafers were my first purchase at the new GR store. I fell in love with the bright orange color and the big bow! I wore them today with a pair of skinny jeans rolled to ankle length, a baggy white t-shirt and some fun gold jewelry. They were my pop of color for the day;)

P.S. they are still available to purchase if you fall in love with them too!
