New bubble curling wand.

I had the day off so off to Ulta I went.  I had a gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket so here's what I found:

A newly released curling wand from Hot tools... They call it a bubble wand.  On the front of the box it suggested it was perfect for beachy waves, which is exactly the kind of curl I wanted so I gave it a try.  Plus it's on sale for $39.99 right now.  It worked great I'm very happy with my purchase, I took a before and after pic so you could see how my hair started out.  Also keep in mine I'm not very talented when it comes to hair so this goes to show its easy to use.

Here is the link if you want one too!

I also bought this hair product by Chi so that my curls would be protected from the heat and also stay in place. It's called Chi 44 iron guard. I bought the sample size which was only $5.50 to try it out.  It made my hair feel nice and silky and so far the curls are keeping well.

Lastly I tried out a new foundation because my other are getting to dark due to lack of sun.  I was suggested to try a new foundation from philosophy, which is specifically good for dry skin, which is exactly what mine is right now.  It's called philosophy hope in a jar foundation.  I like it a lot so far, and it's supposed to make your face feel nice and soft like their popular hope in a jar moisturizer.

Have any of you tried any of these products or do you think you may?

Butter polish.

Sunday afternoons always seem like a good time to venture into Ulta to find new and exciting beauty products.
Today I was on the hunt for the perfect nude/pale pink polish, and I struck gold once I found the nail color line called Butter. I had never tried this brand before, however I've seen it recently in some of my magazines.
The salesgirl suggested I also purchase the nail foundation base coat, along with the hardwear top coat (which I needed anyways). The polish color I ended up with is called pink ribbon and it really is the perfect neutral color. They also offer a matte topcoat that you can layer over any polish, and it immediately transforms the color into being matte, which is a really big trend right now as well (cant wait to try that too).
I love how it looks on, and suggest you all check out this great line, it's carried at Ulta in Holland!
