Beach time.

I went to Holland state park for the first time last night to watch the sunset with my family. How beautiful it was! Sometimes I forget how wonderful living in Holland really is in the summertime!
In the pics I'm wearing one of my favorite Jb and me purchases of the summer, a free people denim dress. I paired it with a new necklace purchased at FOUND ( they have more colors if u like it).
I belted the dress to change it up a bit using ultra suede tie belt.

My cute little cocktail ring.

Maybe it's the child in me that was drawn to it, but the other night while attending a special event at FOUND I saw this little guy....

Yes, a frog ring. My friend Abby was a sweetie pie and gifted it to me because she knew I was drawn to it;) thanks again Abs!
The thing about cocktail rings is they're large, they make a statement and at times can be a bit gaudy, but hey I think they're fun. How about you guys?

More floral for me.

    Today it was a floral dress...I guess you could say I'm liking flowers right now. Maybe it has to do with all my gardening I've been doing at my new house:). Boy, gardening is a lot of work, especially when your trying to keep up with the ugly beetles that are trying to eat everything I plant!
I'm wearing a dress from BB Dakota today. Simple tank style on the top with a flattering pleated detail on the bottom. The one thing I've loved about this dress all day is the fact it hasn't wrinkled a bit! I was even in the car for over an hour driving to the new store and back and still no wrinkles:). Gotta love that-especially since I refuse to iron:)
    I'm also wearing my new flats from Jeffrey Campbell. My favorite part about them is the stud detail. They were a bit of a splurge, but I plan on them being my everyday flat since they will match basically everything.

Citizen of humanity floral pant.

I'm loving floral right now...you can find this trend on anything from jewelry to pants to even shoes this season. I absolutely love the print on these pants. They are a bit bold so I tend to wear them with simple tees on top. I also chose to cuff them because I felt as though it was a little to much to keep them full length and by cuffing them it keeps them a little more comfy/casual looking. Have any of you ventured into patterned pants this summer?

Billabong hanker chief hem dress.

    With all of this hot weather in Michigan I have been wearing nothing but dresses everyday. They are the one outfit that I've actually felt cool enough in...
I purchased this dress to wear as a comfy casual sundress, along with a dress I could easily throw over my swimsuit and use as a coverup.
I love the hanker chief hem at the bottom making it fun and flowy, and also work appropriate. I had a customer who was in her fifties buy this dress at the store today to wear as a casual sundress, however she was going to wear the straps that the dress came with so it wasn't strapless. It proved that this dresses cut was perfect for someone in her twenties or someone a bit older.

Susana Monaco dress.

It's to hot in michigan to wear anything besides a swimsuit these last few days... But since I can't wear my bikini to work I've been sticking to dresses;)
This is one that I've kept in my closet the past two years. It's by the designer Susana Monaco. The fabric is wonderful from this designer. It's a little thicker which makes it non-clingy and it doesn't wrinkle either! There's nothing worse than a clingy dress in hot summer weather!
I kept my jewelry simple, and wore my hair down and a little wavy.
