New years eve look.

I know, it's not what you'd expect a fashion lover to be wearing on new years eve, but for the past two years I have stayed home on nye and relaxed and tonight is going to be the same:) After a busy and might I add exciting holiday I'm more than satisfied to sit at home with the pups.
I'm wearing a pair of black leggings, and extra long tank from angelrox, my new cat boots, and my denim top from Free people. I haven't switched over to a winter coat so for now I'm still rockin' my favorite faux leather jacket by blue pepper.

A night in the windy city.

These pictures are from my girls trip in the beginning of December. We went for a short weekend and had a great time shopping, dining and going to a show. I wore some of my favorite new faux leather pants and my RD blazer. I love the look and feel of these pants. They have the look of leggings but a little dressier and more substantial. I added my signature gold jewelry and some nude flats with studded detail. Perfect semi dressy outfit for a night out in the windy city!

Cookie exchange attire

This holiday season I hosted my first cookie exchange at my new house. I wanted to dress up a little and wear something festive so I chose my bb Dakota sequin jacket in black. I kept it somewhat casual by wearing jeans and some ballet flats as well. What did you all wear to your holiday parties?

Thursdays look.

The weather is changing in good old Michigan. Old man winter is showing his face:) If you'd drive by my house you would know I'm excited by all my Christmas lights!
I had to layer up a little today for the weather so I picked my blue wilt sweatshirt, my fidelity skinny jeans, my favorite CAT boots and a Aztec printed scarf. I've also been into braiding my hair lately. Particularly braiding it with the fishtail braid as shown. It's kind of messy and boho looking...aka if it looks a little messy your good to go. I typically wear jewelry more than scarves but have picked up a few really great prints so I've been trying to wear them a little more:)

Lovely leggings

I haven't always been a legging girl, but I've decided I am now. I recently got a pair from my good friend Abby that has a wider waistband and consists of a thicker pant like material and I'm loving them!
I paired them with a tunic top by velvet, and a fun printed Aztec scarf....simple and comfy.

Grease lightning pants.

I'm sorry, I haven't been a good blogger...I started out with a bang and life caught up with me. Starting today I promise to be consistent:)

I call these my grease lightning pants, because they remind me of the pants that Sandy wore in Grease at the end of the movie. Now I'm not saying I look like her in these pants because she was but a 99 pound woman in those tiny things! The pants I have on are from velvet heart and they are actually at Jb and me right now. I featured them in my style event last Thursday and decided I needed a pair myself:). I'm wearing a cardigan from urban outfitters and layered underneath is one of my favorite nikibiki tanks.

A little antiquing with Abby.

    Today was the last day of fun shopping for us in Allegan at the Allegan Antique Market, since it was the last Sunday it will be held for the year:(. It was the perfect Fall day, which made it all the more enjoyable. Abby makes a pretty good shopping partner since we could both shop for hours and never get tired of it, and we both like to hunt for small treasures at a bargain price.
     Since it was a little breezy and cool I wore my AG skinny jeans with a striped Michael Stars tee, and layered it with a faux leather jacket. Perfect casual outfit for a little shopping escapade.
    I saw a ton of wonderful things, but the only thing I purchased was an adorable vintage nativity set for Christmas.

How this happened I don't know.  Yes I wore two different earrings almost half a day
without me or Abby noticing.  I've had a rough week, at least it gave us a good laugh.

New Fall do.

It was time to switch it up... I did the blonde ombré the summer, but deep down I love having my hair dark. I found this picture on pinterest...

A touch of Fall.

I am totally loving the weather today. The air is crisp and cool giving us the feeling that Fall indeed is on its way. I just love everything about Fall... Getting to wear cozy sweaters and sweatshirts, a farmers market full of mums, apples and cider along with
the gorgeous leaves changing on the trees. What's not to love about all those thing?!?

I knew it was going to be a bit chilly with the breeze today so I threw on my Wilt sweatshirt, a pair of lucky shorts and covered my messy morning hair do with a fun Aztec headband. A perfect comfy look for a relaxing Saturday afternoon.

My labor day outfit.

I had to work for a little while today. The store is open limited hours on labor day (11-5). I knew getting ready this morning that I wanted to wear something casual, because for dinner I'm heading over to my neighbors house for a BBQ. I paired my AG boyfriend shorts with a floral blouse and my studded Jeffrey Campbell flats. I tied the gold metal theme in my shoes to my new fun spike earrings. I decided to add a bold red lip and keep the rest of my makeup simple and clean. Fun summery outfit for a hot and humid Labor Day!

Combining two outfits.

In my outfit today I combined two outfits into one by taking a simple slip from free people and tying a sash from another dress I own as the statement piece of my outfit. It adds a bit of color and pattern to the very simple slip dress, and also makes use of teo different items in my closet. I also paired my outfit with a pair of charcoal leggings and layered up some jewelry.

Fun new accessories.

I had the day off from work yesterday and decided to do a little antique shopping. I found a great retro floor lamp for my family room and this amazing vintage bracelet. I love finding hidden treasures...

My second new thing is this fun animal print headwrap... Sandy who I work with at the store is making them... It was super easy to put on and with my recent obsession with hair accessories it was a perfect addition to the collection. I'm wearing it wrapped around my head and tied in a knot in the back, but it also could be worn tied underneath by your neck for a simple headband look.

Fabric head wraps.

Abby at FOUND recently started carrying these headbands/wraps. They are EXACTLY what I have been searching for. They are solid colors, making them very easy to wear with plenty of outfits, they're stretchy and comfortable and they are only $12 which is very affordable!

It's easiest to wear these bands if you have medium to long hair, but with the right short style I'm sure they can be worn too:)

I pulled my hair into a messy top bun, and added the band and it's as easy as that:)

Braided hair wraps

Yesterday was stylemax in Chicago... Which is one of the buying shows we go on to purchase new things for the store. As Jamie and I were walking around we came across these awesome braided hair wraps made of vintage scarves. I love the bohemian look it gives, and being easy to put in your hair was a big plus for me too. Jamie had the scarf braided through her hair yesterday which looked equally adorable. They will be available to purchase at both stores soon. Hair accessories are really popular right now... Whats your favorite one?

High low skirt.

Today I'm wearing my new high low skirt from pink martini. Some people love this look and others aren't quite getting used to it. Kinda funny story, I was working today and a man looked at me with a confused look on his face and said "so what do they call that?"- meaning my skirt. I just laughed and explained it to him:)
The main reason why I love this skirt is it's very flowy fun material.
I kept it simple by tucking in a fitted niki biki tank, and layering a bunch of jewelry.
