Bombshell Blow-dry Bar

Bombshell blow dry bar is now open and I had to give it a try! The idea behind a blow out is to give you high volume and fully styled hair after the process is done. I really enjoyed it! Not only did they wash and massage my head for about 8-10 minutes, but they put my hair in Velcro rollers for volume followed by curling and styling per my requested look.

All for only $30.  It was well worth the price to have beautiful hair for two days in a row!  Give it a try and let them know Laura sent you!

My laid back Sunday.

It's been a great day so far.  I started my day out with some dog sledding with MacGregor and Cricket bright and early just as my hubby was returning from snow plowing all night.

After coming back inside I took a nice hot shower to warm up from the frigid outside air.  Got ready for the day and worked on making some home made honey white bread.

It's quite the process making homemade bread but sooo worth it!

The bread rises two different times during the process of making it so I took a trip to ulta and tj maxx for a Sunday afternoon shopping trip. I found a new bread pan, a canning kit and a bunch of new make up from ulta. The 20% off coupon I received this week was burning a hole in my pocket!

After applying my new make up...

Happy Sunday!
What did you all do?

Gone ombre.

I needed to change up my hairstyle so I decided to go big and do the ombre a bit more drastic than I have in the past. These are the results. I'm loving the change:)

New bubble curling wand.

I had the day off so off to Ulta I went.  I had a gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket so here's what I found:

A newly released curling wand from Hot tools... They call it a bubble wand.  On the front of the box it suggested it was perfect for beachy waves, which is exactly the kind of curl I wanted so I gave it a try.  Plus it's on sale for $39.99 right now.  It worked great I'm very happy with my purchase, I took a before and after pic so you could see how my hair started out.  Also keep in mine I'm not very talented when it comes to hair so this goes to show its easy to use.

Here is the link if you want one too!

I also bought this hair product by Chi so that my curls would be protected from the heat and also stay in place. It's called Chi 44 iron guard. I bought the sample size which was only $5.50 to try it out.  It made my hair feel nice and silky and so far the curls are keeping well.

Lastly I tried out a new foundation because my other are getting to dark due to lack of sun.  I was suggested to try a new foundation from philosophy, which is specifically good for dry skin, which is exactly what mine is right now.  It's called philosophy hope in a jar foundation.  I like it a lot so far, and it's supposed to make your face feel nice and soft like their popular hope in a jar moisturizer.

Have any of you tried any of these products or do you think you may?

Layered up for winter.

These pics are from a few weeks ago when we had just gotten one of our first Michigan snows...my husband has now taken on roll of being my photographer. We are still working on good places to take pictures at our house, but the main focus is the outfits so I guess the scenery doesn't matter entirely to much:)

I managed to follow a Pinterest link while doing my hair this morning and what do ya know it was easier than I thought to get a big bun on the top of my head!  I love Pinterest. I could spend hours on it.
For my outfit I'm wearing my black denimocracy French terry leggings ( best pants ever), my cute little Christmas tee with reindeer and penguins on it, my free people denim top, along with my favorite bed stu Manchester boots.  Oh and the coat is BB Dakota:)

Happy Winter and Christmas Eve!

A day outside.

It's that time of the year again... The leaves have fallen and it's time to get them all cleaned up!  I managed a little time to goof off and have my husband take a few photos for my blog since my outfit looked very Fall-like:)

Fall favorites from Jb and me.

I've been a little overwhelmed with all of the fun styles we've been getting in at the store. Fall truly is my favorite season to shop!
I love the fact that in the Fall you can layer so many different things together to create new looks.  Here are a few of my purchases from this Fall at Jb and me that I'm really loving...

My BB Dakota Fall blanket coat paired with my oversized RD sweater and a pleather skirt from RD.  On the bottom I have some Free people socks and my Bedstu Fiona boot ( both still available at the store)

My FAVORITE Free People sweater, paired with nikibiki grey leggings and my Bedstu Manchester boot.

Simple oversized FP sweater with my Hudson krista jean and my lovely CAT boot.

My Bedstu FIONA boot again paired with leopard nikibiki leggings...both are so comfy!

Can you tell I like pleather skirts:) here I have on my blue pepper pleather skirt (still at Jb and me) and a simple white tee and BC heels.

What are your favorite things to wear this Fall?
